bow chicka wow wow

The other morning I was listening to The Rob, Arnie and Dawn Show and they where talking about how the government has made a law to mandate adult film makers to wear condoms. An ordinance requiring actors in porn films made in LA to use condoms.http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2012/03/08/condoms-in-porn-debate_n_1332532.html This was brought on by a scare that someone had tested positive for HIV (which turned out false after all). Then in today's paper I found an article about this issue as well.
LA/San Fernando Valley has been the industries home since the early days of X-rated films. It might be time to move to a different home because of this law. On the radio they were talking about how people don't want to watch movies with condoms. Porn is not supposed to be watched or used as a tool to teach about safe sex practices and this law is totally stupid and only going to end up backfiring in the governments face. The adult movie industry is a private sector and the government does not have any right to make this law. http://abclocal.go.com/kabc/story?section=news/local/los_angeles&id=8568659 They industry has already put into action ways to make sure people working in it are healthy and disease free.
Everytime people get scared of things happening around them if they make a big enough out cry government makes some stupid law to try to make the public feel better about whatever the issue they are scared about. I bet the people that. This mandate is only going to make the film producers film from other locations cause like I already said people don't want to watch films with condoms.
This will also affect the economics of the area if they leave the area and the city won't have the LARGE revenue flow they make from the industry. Some have said Nevada is going to benefit from this law cause it's a likely choice for producers and production companys to move to.

  1. Though I think this is a very good idea, this could lead to a very slippery slope. This affects how the government regulates business, if the actors want to go bareback, that's their business literally.

  2. I completely agree with you! I get so sick and tired fear controlling the law-making process. Whatever happened to free enterprise? The "actors" understand the risk and they should be able to choose whether they wish to wear condoms or not, not lawmakers. This is just another example of people inflicting their will on others but this time it isn't just a libertarian issue it will affect state revenues' because the industry will leave the state.
